Printing Phylo decks at ArtsCow
I'm new to Phylo, so I'm sorry if this idea has been discussed already. As a biologist and hobby gamer, I'm very interested in this game.
Has anyone here considered creating decks of these cards at ArtsCow.com? There is an active "print-and-play" community at BoardGameGeek.com that has been built up around using this print on demand site. They can print a deck of 54 custom playing cards and ship them as cheap as $5 each (on sale).
I know I would add cards to my collection 54 at a time whenever a sale came up. All that's needed are decent-quality image files for the card fronts and an "official" image for the back. And some time.

Yeah, there's also Game Crafter. Do you know if one is better over the other?

Heads up that we have tried game crafter for the Beaty Deck, and they look awesome! Very impressed actually.
Now we're seeing if the Beaty museum is set up (legally) to offer online sales where the primary transactions happen in the US (the Beaty is based in Vancouver canada).

This can't happen soon enough!davehwng wrote:we have tried game crafter for the Beaty Deck, and they look awesome!

The DIY model is nice for enhancing decks, but it's laborious and somewhat costly for stater decks (ink, sleeves). If I could order starter decks TODAY at a print-on-demand vendor, like TheGameCrafter or ArtsCow, I'd have Phylo in the classroom.
