Looks cool. Brings to mind that who knows, but maybe one day, there may be PHYLO card sets where the imagery is quite fantastical on purpose.

I read that article and thought immediately of Phylomon - it's encouraging that someone can create a serious game of the sort and have it be played well.

It reminds me to Elementeo, a fantasy chemical card game which focuses on elements in the periodic table. Made by a 14-years old boy.Have you guys ever heard of that game?
